Terms of Service

Last updated: [EFFECTIVE DATE]

These terms govern your use of Tickbox, operated by [COMPANY / SOLE TRADER NAME]. By creating an account or using Tickbox, you agree to them.

What Tickbox does

Tickbox helps you draft answers to security and compliance questionnaires. It reads a questionnaire you upload and produces draft answers for you to review.

Not legal advice or certification

Tickbox is a preparation and guidance tool. It does not provide legal advice, and it does not certify or confirm that you or your business are compliant with any standard, law, or framework. Every answer Tickbox produces is a draft that you must review, edit, and approve before sending. You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of anything you send to a third party.

Your account

You must provide an accurate email address, keep your password secure, and are responsible for activity under your account. You must be old enough to enter a contract in your country.

Acceptable use

Plans and payment

Prices are shown on the site and may change; changes won't affect a period you've already paid for. Payments are handled by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and you can cancel at any time to stop future renewals. Except where the law requires, payments are non-refundable.

Your content

You keep all rights to the content you upload and the answers you approve. You grant us the limited permission needed to process that content in order to provide the service (including sending it to our AI provider to generate drafts).

Availability and disclaimer

We work to keep Tickbox available and accurate, but the service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that drafts are accurate, complete, or fit for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, [COMPANY / SOLE TRADER NAME] will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your reliance on a draft that you did not review. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Termination

You can stop using Tickbox and close your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
